Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema said he expects junior defensive end Tevin Beanum to be back with the team “when school starts, if not before” during his press conference Wednesday.

Bielema revealed that he spoke to Beanum on Sunday, who was “really upbeat about everything.” Last week, Bielema said he held the junior out of practice because he was “dealing with a situation he needs to get control of.”

Arkansas is only allowed to have 105 active players, which has left around 15 team members unable to participate in practice until the fall semester starts on August 22. Bielema said that Beanum could return sooner if a spot opened on the team’s 105-man roster.

Beanum started eight games and appeared in all 13 for Arkansas in 2015. He recorded 30 tackles, including seven for loss as a sophomore.
