The Big 12 has finalized its next media rights deal with ESPN and FOX.
The new deal will run through the 2030-31 academic year, according to the Big 12.
Here’s the official announcement from the Big 12 along with a statement from commissioner Brett Yormark:

“The Big 12 Conference is thrilled to announce it has executed its long-form agreements for the extension of its media rights with partners ESPN and FOX through the 2030-31 academic year,” Yormark’s statement reads in-part. “We would like to thank both ESPN and FOX for their continued partnership.
“This deal not only provides stability for the Big 12 in years to come, but it creates a strong foundation for future growth and innovation.”
This agreement will presumably end the longstanding questions about the future of the Big 12 in the wake of Texas and Oklahoma’s departure for the SEC.
The league responded swiftly last summer by adding 4 new programs: UCF, Houston, BYU and Cincinnati. Now with a longterm media rights deal reportedly in place, the Big 12’s future is secure for the next several years.
The Big 12 could still pursue additional new members for the league in the future. They have been linked to programs such as Fresno State, UConn and Gonzaga.
Financial terms of the Big 12’s new media deal have not been disclosed as of publication.
