Bill Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson has been a significant talking point during his first offseason as North Carolina’s head football coach.

The off-the-field distractions have increased in recent weeks with reports of Hudson being banned from UNC’s football facility following an awkward CBS interview. On Tuesday, Belichick addressed the situation head-on.

“Really, off to the side, it’s a personal relationship,” Bill Belichick said. “She doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football. I’m excited to be back in the coaches meetings and getting ready for June and then August when we get to training camp.”

Here’s a clip from his comments on ESPN:

Hudson appeared in a Super Bowl ad with Belichick earlier this year. While a report from Pablo Torre suggested she has been banned from UNC’s football facility, North Carolina released a statement refuting that report over the weekend. Torre stood by his reporting.

Belichick is in his first offseason as a college football coach. North Carolina has invested significant resources into its roster for the 2025 season. The Tar Heels have a transfer portal class that ranks No. 9 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Carolina will open the 2025 season against TCU on Sept. 1.
