Alabama coach Nick Saban and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick are 2 of the all-time greats in the football coaching profession.
And, they just so happen to be friends, having worked together from 1991-1994, when Belichick was the Cleveland Browns’ head coach and Saban was his defensive coordinator.
So, when Belichick learned that Saban had tested positive for COVID-19, he started his Thursday press conference off by sending his best wishes to his friend:

“Just want to wish him a speedy and complete recovery from this COVID virus,” Belichick said. “I spoke with Coach Saban recently. We both talked about how much we’ve learned about the situation and some of the challenges that have come with it. I know he’s been extremely vigilant and has put a great deal of thought and effort into the care of his players. He shared that with me and we’ve both talked about things that we’ve done, and been helpful and so forth. Just want to wish him the best from all of us here in the organization.”
The well-wishes continue to pour in for Saban, who has made such a huge impact on many in the football industry.
