“Goldberg! Goldberg! Goldberg!”

It seems like yesterday Bill Goldberg was spearing fools, and we’d all sit around and talk about it at practice the next day.

But the former Georgia lineman is back in action — he returned last fall, and he’s back on top in the WWE. Goldberg won the WWE Universal Championship Sunday night in his first title match since 2003. He beat Kevin Owens in less than 30 seconds with the spear and the jackhammer.

Goldberg is certainly a bit older at 50 years old, but the man still looks like a machine with world class traps. He spoke about his victory last night.

The rematch between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar is happening on April 2 at WrestleMania, and now, a title will be on the line. Most are expecting this to be Goldberg’s final match after returning to the ring this past fall following 12 years of retirement.

Goldberg played defensive line at Georgia in the late 1980s and was taken by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1990 NFL Draft.
