Billy Napier and Florida have a tough challenge this week as the Gators look to keep up with LSU high-powered offense.

The Tigers have one of the best offenses in the country and they have torched teams all season. If Florida wants to get a win over LSU, it will have to try and match the production of the Tigers.

For Napier, that means looking to Florida’s best offensive weapons like Tre Wilson and Trevor Etienne.

“I think every week we do that. That’s part of the plan, right,” Napier said during the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday. “Try to get the best players the ball. Tre and Trevor have been fantastic and I think sometimes the defense can dictate where the ball goes and things that are in the throw game. Nowadays with the run-pass option, the perimeter tags, the quarterback sometimes distributes the ball accordingly to that. But those 2 are some of our best and we’re always trying to get them the ball.”

Wilson has recorded 416 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns and Etienne has notched 529 yards and 4 touchdowns on the year. Napier had high praise for the 2 offensive weapons as they continue to put together a solid season.

“What I appreciate about both those guys is I think their attitude has been a lot of fun to coach,” Napier said. “Their work habits and the example they set and how they prepare, I think they’re both young players, man, that have bright futures and key parts of our offense for sure.”

Florida is looking to get back on track this week after dropping last week’s game to Arkansas. The Gators are looking to get bowl eligible, but with 3 tough games ahead it will be a difficult task.
