Billy Napier expresses gratitude for Nick Saban, discusses impact on his career

Billy Napier has ties to Nick Saban that go back several years. Napier, the new head coach at Florida, was an analyst at Alabama in 2011 and also served as the Crimson Tide’s WR coach from 2013 to 2016.
Now at his first SEC Media Days in Atlanta, Napier was asked about his relationship with his former boss.
He praised Saban for creating opportunities for him to further his career, pointing out Saban hired him twice. He added that he doesn’t think the Alabama coach will slow down any time soon:

Napier won’t have to face his former boss this season (barring both Florida and Alabama making the SEC Championship Game). So, he’ll have time to build his program before his first meeting with Saban and the Crimson Tide.
