Cole Cubelic caused a bit of a stir this week when he announced on Twitter that his morning radio show the Cube Show on WUMP-AF would be going off the air. It turns out the SEC Network analyst had a good reason for leaving his show — he’s got a new gig lined up.
Birmingham-based WJOX 94.5 FM announced Tuesday that Cubelic has been hired, along with Alabama beat writer for the Tuscaloosa News Aaron Suttles, to headline a new show for the station. The new show will follow WJOX morning show The Roundtable. It is set to debut in under two weeks on Monday, March 26.
Here’s the official announcement from WJOX:
We are thrilled to announce that @ColeCubelic, @AaronSuttles and @LandrumRoberts will be hosting a brand new show from 10am to 2pm here on @WJOX945, and they will be joined by @JohnSayBear!
It starts March 26th! pic.twitter.com/4EpxNgHLG5
