B.J. Mack played the majority of his college basketball at Wofford, but will be transferring to a different school for 2023. Mack is heading to the SEC.

Mack led Wofford in scoring with 16.6 points per game. Mack also averaged 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists each outing from the forward position.

Mack confirmed the news by posting a photo of himself in a South Carolina basketball uniform.

Mack’s commitment makes it three on Thursday alone as the Gamecocks also added Finland recruits Morris Ugusuk and Okku Federiko.

Mack helped Wofford reach the semifinal round of the SoCon Tournament, however the Terriers lost to Chattanooga to end their season.

South Carolina lost in the first round of the SEC Tournament to Ole Miss to end Lamont Paris’ first year in Columbia at 11-21.

Mack did not start his career with Wofford. Mack was rated as a 3-star center from the 2019 class per the 247Sports Composite. Mack committed to South Florida and played there for one season before transferring to Wofford.

South Carolina did not send Mack an offer as a recruit, but SEC schools like Arkansas, Georgia, and Ole Miss did.

While at Wofford, Mack played in a total of 85 games for the Terriers. His veteran experience will definitely help out the South Carolina squad.
