BJ Ojulari, LSU DE, formally declares for NFL Draft, thanks Tigers for 3 seasons

BJ Ojulari has made it official. The LSU defensive end is declaring for the NFL Draft after 3 seasons with the Tigers.

Ojuari’s decision was reported Saturday. On Sunday, he shared a lengthy farewell note announcing his plans to enter the draft. In addition to thanking his closest supporters, Ojulari made sure to recognize LSU staffers, including trainers and nutritionists. Ojulari also thanked Baton Rouge and Tiger Nation, noting they “embraced a Georgia boy like I was one of your own.”

Ojulari, from Marietta, Georgia, joined LSU in 2020. Over the last 3 seasons, he has played in 34 games, making 24 starts.

This past season, Ojulari started all 11 games he played in. Ojulari, who was selected to wear No. 18 in 2022, logged a career-high in total tackles with 58. His 2022 stats include 8.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

Ojulari was SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week twice in his first 2 seasons. In his sophomore year, Ojulari posted career-highs in tackles for loss (11.5) and sacks (7).
