Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart are on set in Morgantown this week as Big Noon Kickoff previews the Penn State-West Virginia matchup.

The former star quarterbacks took time to predict this season’s Heisman Trophy race. Unsurprisingly, Quinn and Leinart both chose QBs to win the prestigious award.

Not only did both pick QBs, but they both went with SEC QBs. Quinn picked Georgia’s Carson Beck, while Leinart went with Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.

Leinart believes Milroe will thrive under new coach Kalen DeBoer.

“He (Milroe) got benched last year early,” said Leinart. “He came back, the last 7 games, he had 17 total touchdowns and just 1 interception.”

Meanwhile, Quinn had high praise of his own for Beck.

“He’s leading the No. 1 team in the country, I think this is the year he takes off,” Quinn explained. “And not only wins the Heisman but becomes the No. 1 overall pick (in the NFL Draft) when it’s all said and done.”

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, only Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel has better odds to win the Heisman than Beck. Milroe has the 5th-best odds behind Gabriel. Beck, Quinn Ewers, and Jaxson Dart.

In 2023, Milroe finished 6th in Heisman voting after throwing for 2,834 yards and 23 TDs. Beck, meanwhile, threw for 3,941 yards with 24 TDs.

Both QBs will start their seasons on Saturday. Milroe’s Crimson Tide take on Western Kentucky, while Beck’s Bulldogs are facing Clemson in a top-25 battle.
