Brown, a former 4-star recruit, caught 1 pass for 11 yards last season. He hasn’t established himself as part of Ole Miss’ receiver rotation through 2 years in Oxford, but he will have the opportunity to do so in 2023.
Brown was the No. 31 receiver in the country in the class of 2021, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
What it means for Ole Miss
Brown re-joins a wide receiver room that is sure to be competitive this upcoming season. Other returning players in the mix include Jordan Watkins and Dayton Wade. The Rebels also added transfers Chris Marshall and Tre Harris earlier this offseason.
However, Ole Miss will be looking to replace its top 2 receivers from last season in Malik Heath and Jonathan Mingo. Both Heath and Mingo are headed to the NFL Draft after combining for 111 catches and 10 touchdowns last season.
Ole Miss officially opened spring practice on Tuesday. Its annual spring game will be held on April 15.
