Oklahoma has lost one of its primary recruits in the 2023 class following news that Lincoln Riley has reportedly accepted the head coaching position at USC.

On Sunday, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. wide receiver Brandon Inniss announced that he was reopening his recruitment, posting the news on his Twitter account:

Inniss is considered by 247Sports to be the No. 1 wide receiver in the class of 2023 and the country’s No. 9 player regardless of position. He had been committed to the Sooners since Aug. 22.

In August, prior to his commitment, he had Alabama, Florida, Miami, Ohio State, and Oklahoma among his finalists. With the news of Riley’s apparent departure for Los Angeles, though, it could equal a major opening for the Gators to make a big move with Billy Napier now in the fold, with the Crimson Tide hardly a program to overlook.
