Offensive lineman Brandon Kennedy has finally made it official, he’s leaving Alabama as a graduate transfer.
This news comes weeks after the news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com. According to Zenitz, Kennedy is seeking permission to potentially transfer to Auburn or Tennessee, however, the Crimson Tide are currently blocking him from doing so. Kennedy is in the process of appealing that decision. It’s also worth noting that the NCAA is expected to vote in June to potentially end the practice of requiring student-athletes to gain permission before seeking their next destination.
Kennedy took to Twitter Monday evening to announce his plans to leave Alabama’s program after earning his degree. His next destination is unclear at this time.
