Brandon Miller is on track to be the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Woj said on ESPN Tuesday that night Miller “further solidified” his case to be the No. 2 pick after going through another interview and workout with the Charlotte Hornets this week.

Miller is competing with G-League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson, who also met again with the Hornets this week.

“Alabama’s Brandon Miller further solidified his standing as Charlotte’s choice at No. 2 with a workout and meetings he had in Charlotte [Monday],” Wojnarowski said. “This is the first time Michael Jordan, the out-going majority owner in Charlotte, had a chance to watch Miller in person. So sit down and meet with him.”

Miller reportedly struggled in his first workout with the Hornets earlier in the pre-draft process, but was better when he returned this week.

“I’m told Miller was better the second time around,” Wojnarowski said. “Certainly positionally, Miller’s advantage over Scoot Henderson in Charlotte is that they’ve got a point guard, LaMelo Ball, who they believe is a franchise-level point guard. Right now, Brandon Miller continues to be the focus for the Hornets at No. 2.”

Here’s video of Wojnarowski’s full comments:

Alabama has not had a player be selected in the top 2 of a NBA Draft since Antonio McDyess in 1995.

The 2023 NBA Draft will be held on Thursday.
