Brandon Miller should log more minutes in Alabama’s Round of 32 game Saturday than he did on Thursday.
Miller, who is dealing with a groin injury, was scoreless in 19 minutes of action in No. 1 seed UA’s win over No. 16 seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. College basketball insider Jeff Goodman shared a positive update on Miller ahead of the Crimson Tide’s Saturday night game against No. 8 seed Maryland (9:40 p.m. ET, TBS).
Goodman shares that while Miller is not at 100 percent, he does not have any participation restrictions for Saturday’s game.
Alabama’s Brandon Miller will play tonight against Maryland. I’m told he’s about 80 percent due to groin injury suffered during SEC tourney. Was scoreless in first-round win. Will have no minutes restrictions tonight.

Nate Oats is confident that Miller, who averages 19.1 points per game, can be a valuable contributor at 80% healthy.
“He’s obviously been our most talented, best player all year. If he’s not able to go at 100%, he’s probably still a pretty good player at 75, 80%. Hopefully we can get him playing better than he did (Thursday),” Oats told reporters Friday.
Miller subbed out of Thursday’s game with over 14 minutes to go in the 2nd half and did not return. Oats shared Miller told the coach not to put him back in if he was not needed. Alabama fans are hoping that Miller taking it easy Thursday will allow him to be closer to his usual self Saturday and get the Crimson Tide to the Sweet 16.
