Alabama has released Braxton Key from his scholarship in order to free him up for other opportunities, the school announced on Friday.
Key was a pivotal player for Alabama over the last two seasons in Tuscaloosa. He even garnered All-SEC Freshman Team honors as a first-year player on the roster.
Following the official word from Alabama, Key posted the following note thanking Avery Johnson and his Crimson Tide coaching staff.
