Breaking down Auburn’s ineffective offensive gameplan

The Auburn Tigers got good looks at all three of their quarterbacks — Sean White, Jeremy Johnson and John Franklin III — during a 19-13 loss to No. 2 Clemson on Saturday night.

But, in order to get those looks, the Tigers kept a steady rotation going, which may have prevented the quarterbacks from developing a rhythm with the rest of the offense:

White led the way with 21 pass attempts, but completed only 10 for 140 yards. He and Johnson each threw an interception, too.

Franklin only threw once, completing the pass for -3 yards.

A home game against Arkansas State this week should help Auburn coaches get a better look at their quarterbacks, but if they keep switching players at the drop of a hat, it’s a safe bet that no one will be able to develop a rhythm this Saturday either.
