Brent Venables and his Oklahoma staff are working on putting together the 2024 recruiting class. On Wednesday, the Sooners picked up another piece from an Edge recruit out of Minnesota.
The player is Wyatt Gilmore, a 3-star recruit out of Rogers Senior High School in Rogers, Minnesota. Other offers for Gilmore included Miami, Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Oregon and Nebraska.

Gilmore is listed at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds and has made plays on both sides of the ball in high school. The 247 Sports Composite rates Gilmore as a 3-star recruit and the No. 46 Edge in the country for the class of 2024.
Gilmore is the 10th commitment for Oklahoma in the cycle, but Venables and his staff still have plenty of work to do for the cycle. The Sooners have the 35th recruiting class in the country as things currently stand per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
Along with those numbers, Oklahoma has a commitment from just one player rated as a top-100 prospect (4-star WR Zion Kearney). We’ll see how the Sooners work to improve on those numbers throughout the summer.
