Brian Kelly addresses LSU’s quarterback situation following Week 1 loss
By Ethan Stone

Jayden Daniels had a tumultuous start to his LSU career. He put the Tigers in position to win late and threw for over 200 yards with 2 touchdowns in Sunday night’s 24-23 loss to Florida State.
The Tigers had a bit of a quarterback controversy heading into their Week 1 matchup. Head coach Brian Kelly insisted that nothing would change at the quarterback position following the loss.
Kelly: Jayden Daniels’ performance to start the game was a mixed bag but he got better the rest of the way.
There was never a discussion during the game for replacing him with Garrett Nussmeier.
“Jayden’s our No. 1 quarterback.”

That’s an important move for Kelly. LSU’s offense did not look good Sunday, but that was not exactly the fault of Daniels. The Tigers looked tired. It’s time to right the ship.
