Brian Kelly and his LSU Tigers were able to cap the 2024 regular season on a high note, recording a 37-17 win over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
LSU, once hopeful for a College Football Playoff berth, finishes the season with an 8-4 overall record. Kelly presented the game ball to wide receivers Aaron Anderson and Chris Hilton, both of which played a major role in the victory.
Here’s a look at the moment:

Anderson finished out the game with 1 reception for 6 yards, not exactly a stat line of note. But it was the monster play he made on special teams when he housed a kickoff on a 100-yard run.
Hilton ended out the game as the team’s leading receiver in total yardage, making an impact as he reeled in 2 receptions for 85 yards with 2 touchdowns. Both players made plays that gave the Tigers the momentum and allowed LSU to keep its foot on the gas in conference play.
LSU will look to get back on track next year with Kelly setting lofty expectations for a national championship already for 2025. There’s reason for optimism with the way the Tigers have finished. But, for now, they will join the list of bowl-eligible teams waiting to see what their postgame destination will be.
