Brian Kelly discusses challenges LSU will face against Florida

The next chapter in the heated rivalry between LSU (4-2) and Florida (4-2) will take place this Saturday at The Swamp.
LSU coach Brian Kelly is aware that in order for the Tigers to leave Gainesville with a victory, one of the main keys will be slowing down Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.
The 6-foot-4 sophomore has been uneven this season through the air, with 1,182 yards, five touchdowns, seven interceptions, and a QBR of 62.8. However, Richardson has flashed his potential, with the Sept. 24 loss against Tennessee as a glaring example.
In that defeat, Richardson completed 24 of his 44 passes for 453 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, while also rushing for 62 yards and two scores.

In addition to Richardson (6.1 yards per carry) being a threat on the ground, the Gators have a pair of running backs with explosive ability. Montrell Johnson Jr. is averaging 8.0 yards per carry, while Trevor Etienne is rushing at a 6.8 yard clip.
LSU ranks 55th nationally in rushing defense. The Tigers are allowing 3.87 yards per rush and 134.8 rushing yards per game. LSU has given up 809 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
Florida narrowly leads the all-time series 33-32-3. However, LSU is on a three-game winning streak in the series. LSU defeated Florida 49-42 in last season’s meeting.
LSU-Florida is slated for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on ESPN.
