Brian Kelly’s offense is something to behold.

It’s led by one of the top QBs in the SEC, Jayden Daniels. When he arrived at LSU out of Arizona State Daniels was a run-first athlete who showed some hesitancy pushing the ball downfield.

You’d hardly recognize him now.

Daniels leads the SEC with 328 passing yards per game. He’s No. 1 in the conference with 19 touchdown passes with 2nd place – Mizzou’s Brady Cook – sitting at 13. He’s accurate too, having completed just over 72% of his passes, a mark that sits 4th in the SEC.

At his weekly press conference Monday, Kelly evaluated Daniels’ play and gave an explained what he is doing better compared to his early career at LSU:

“With Jayden, he fixed a lot of things,” Kelly said. “He was not progressing through his reads, he wasn’t staying in the pocket or being patient. He’s fixed a lot of those things where now he’s one of the top quarterbacks production-wise in the country. We gave him a good plan and he’s gone out and made the improvements.”

LSU returns home for a matchup against Auburn in Week 7 following the Tigers’ win over Mizzou.
