Brian Kelly has added another familiar face to his initial staff at LSU, this time in the strength and conditioning department.
Jake Flint, the co-director of Notre Dame’s strength and conditioning program, will join LSU as its director of athletic development, the university announced on Thursday.
“I am excited to continue my career with Coach Kelly as the Director of Athletic Development at LSU. The opportunity to train student-athletes at the highest level at LSU and to compete in the SEC is something that I have worked towards my entire career,” Flint said in a statement.
Flint walked on to the Central Michigan program during Kelly’s time there and eventually was placed on scholarship. He eventually joined Kelly’s staff at Cincinnati and followed him to South Bend in 2010. He was promoted to co-director of the Fighting Irish strength and conditioning program in 2017.
