The LSU Tigers took care of business on Saturday night, defeating Army, 62-0. The Tigers had 570 yards of total offense, as it was a well-balanced performance. Hosting Army was a cool scene for college football fans to be able to see, as you don’t see the Academy schools play many road games against the elite teams in the country.
It was also a monumental victory for LSU coach Brian Kelly, who won his 300th game as a college football head coach.

Kelly got his head coaching career at Grand Valley State in 1991, and he was there until 2003. During his time there, he was 118-35-2, going 41-2 in his final 3 seasons with back-to-back championships.
His first Division I head coaching job was at Central Michigan, where he coached for 3 years, going 19-16. He replaced Mark Dantonio at Cincinnati in 2006. This is where he took off in the coaching ranks, going 34-6 in 4 seasons there before becoming the head coach at Notre Dame in December, 2009.
He was the coach at Notre Dame until taking the job heading into last season at LSU. During his time in South Bend, he finished 92-39. The Fighting Irish made the college football playoff twice during his time there.
He is currently 16-6 at LSU.
