Missouri’s staff shakeup on the defensive side of the ball looks to be continuing as defensive line coach Brick Haley reportedly won’t be returning to Eli Drinkwitz’s staff for the 2021 season.

This news comes after defensive coordinator Ryan Walters left Missouri to take over the same position at Bret Bielema’s Illinois program.

Now comes word, via Gabe DeArmond and Mitchell Forde of PowerMizzou, that Haley also won’t be returning for the Tigers in 2021.

Haley was one of the few holdovers from the Barry Odom era at Mizzou, as the defensive line coach joined Walters and secondary coach David Gibbs as the lone full-time holdovers from the previous regime in Columbia.

On the bright side for Missouri, Drinkwitz will presumably now be able to hire a defensive coordinator and a defensive line coach that have a history together that could result in an expedited learning curve for the team’s defense this spring.
