Brock Bowers was widely regarded as 1 of the best college football players the past few seasons and a guy who was looked at like he could contribute immediately in the NFL. Now, the former Georgia star is doing just that.

The Las Vegas Raiders saw the potential and made him the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Bowers has repaid the Raiders by getting off to the best start ever for a tight end.

He has accomplished multiple feats during the game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. First, he had 6 catches in the first half of the game, becoming the first Raiders rookie to have that many catches in a half since James Jett in 1993.

Then, he grabbed his 43rd catch of season, which is the most ever for a tight end through his first 7 games in NFL history. That broke the previous record set by Keith Jackson, who had 42 in 1988.

With Davante Adams being traded to the New York Jets last week, Bowers is now the true No. 1 target in the Raiders offense.

The only thing Raiders fans are hoping to see Bowers do a little more is get in the end zone and score touchdowns. He has only 1 touchdown on the season, and that came on October 6 against the Denver Broncos.
