Broncos’ GM John Elway on not drafting a QB: ‘We’re going to build around Drew (Lock)’

Former Mizzou star QB Drew Lock is now a member of the Denver Broncos, and looked good in limited action last season.
Now, the Broncos have the No. 15 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and it doesn’t seem GM John Elway is interested in taking a quarterback in that spot.
Speaking with reporters on Monday, Elway expressed confidence in Lock. Though he said Lock still has a lot to prove, he said the team is going to give him a chance in 2020 to prove he’s the QB of the future:
John Elway on Drew Lock: "By no means has Drew made it. We believe he has the potential to do it, and we believe he's going to get better and better. … We really like what we saw. …
"We decided we're going to build around Drew and give him the opportunity to take the job."

John Elway said that while Drew Lock still has a lot to learn, the Broncos "feel that he's that guy."
"There are some quarterbacks that are still available," Elway said, "but we decided that we’re going to build around Drew, give him that opportunity to take the job."

Many mock drafts have the Broncos taking a receiver in Round 1. Guys like Alabama’s Henry Ruggs III, LSU’s Justin Jefferson and Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb could be available at No. 15.
Who will the Broncos get to go with Lock? We’ll find out on Thursday!
