The Patriots are doing whatever they can to squeeze a few more years out of Tom Brady.

We saw that on Thursday night when New England drafted former Georgia offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn with its first pick. Apparently the Patriots were just getting started.

On Friday, they reportedly traded for former Florida offensive lineman Trent Brown:

The former Gator provided plenty of value as a former seventh-round pick in 2015. He started in 28 of 31 games in his first 3 NFL seasons.

After taking over a starting job at the end of his rookie season with the 49ers, Brown started all 16 games at right tackle in 2016 and he started 10 games there in 2017 before he was put on injured reserve in December.

Brown figures to be in good position to play immediately for the Patriots, who look like they’re building their offensive line with former SEC East after adding Wynn to play alongside former Georgia center David Andrews.
