On Monday night, it was reported that Auburn assistant coach Ira Bowman was involved in a bribery scheme stemming from his time at Penn.
As the Tigers prepare for the SEC Tournament in Nashville this week, Bowman’s status is up in the air.
On Tuesday, coach Bruce Pearl spoke about his assistant, saying the university is continuing to gather information and facts about Bowman’s case:
Bruce Pearl opens his pre-SEC Tournament press conference by acknowledging the Ira Bowman report. At this time, he and university administration "continue to gather information and facts." But he has no further comment at this time, saying it would be "premature" w/o more info.

Though Pearl didn’t issue any additional comments, Bowman was at practice on Tuesday and it was reported that he’d be traveling with the team to Nashville:

Whether or not Bowman keeps his job after this season remains to be seen, but for now, he’s still a part of Pearl’s staff and is helping the team prepare for the SEC Tournament.
