Bruce Pearl guided Auburn’s men’s basketball team to the outright regular-season title this year, going 15-3 in conference action.

During the season, Pearl landed a “lifetime” deal to remain on The Plains, worth $50.2 million over the 8-year life of the contract extension.

Now, we know the full terms of the deal. Per AL.com’s Tom Green, the contract goes into effect on May 1 and will significantly increase every year after:

Pearl’s new contract will go into effect May 1 and run through April 30, 2030, according to the document. It will pay the coach an annual base salary of $250,000, with the rest of his compensation coming through endorsement rights and personal appearance payments. Pearl will earn $2,575,000 annually in endorsement rights with a $125,000 escalator each year of the contract. Those same numbers apply to his annual personal appearance payments.

It culminates with Pearl earning $7.15 million in the final year of the deal, with an average annual salary of $6.275 million for the duration of the contract.

Pearl will also get a $100,000 bonus for winning the SEC regular-season title and $50,000 for winning the SEC Tournament.

For now, though, we’ll see how far Pearl can lead this year’s Tigers in the NCAA Tournament. Could another Final Four run be in the works?
