Bryan Harsin and the Auburn Tigers went to Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday night and left with a 21-17 loss to the Gamecocks.

There was a key play late that ended in controversy, as it appeared a South Carolina punt may have touched an Auburn player.

The play was ruled as no fumble on the field, but upon review, it was ruled to have been touched by the Auburn player.

That gave the Gamecocks the ball back and they killed off the clock to preserve their victory and clinch bowl eligibility.

After the game, Harsin still wasn’t convinced the ball hit his player:

Still the referees ruled the ball hit the Auburn player, and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

Auburn falls to 6-5 with the loss. The Tigers have now lost 3 games in a row and have to play host to No. 2 Alabama in the Iron Bowl next weekend.
