No flip here: 5-star California quarterback Bryce Young signs with Alabama

No need to keep refreshing your feed, Alabama fans. Bryce Young is officially a member of your football program.

The five-star quarterback from California was making some Alabama fans sweat on Wednesday after not sending in his National Letter of Intent earlier in the day but there was no chance the nation’s top dual-threat prospect was signing anywhere other than with Nick Saban’s program.

The Mater Dei High School standout made it official Wednesday afternoon by signing his letter with Alabama. Young is a five-star prospect, the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat prospect and the nation’s No. 6 overall recruit in the 2020 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

It’s not easy to be considered the best prospect in a recruiting class that ranks No. 2 nationally but Young is that coveted on the recruiting trail.
