Bryce Young moved up in the Alabama record books with his third touchdown of the first half of Saturday’s Sugar Bowl.

Young connected with Jermaine Burton for TD No. 78 of his Alabama career. Young moved ahead of A.J. McCarron for second all-time among UA passers. Tua Tagovailoa leads all with 87 career TD passes.

Tagovailoa’s record is safe, but Young is going out in style. After a 1-4 start throwing the ball, Young has flipped a switch in New Orleans. He’s currently 12-of-17 for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns. The 4th TD, No. 79, came early in the 3rd quarter after Kansas State attempted an onside kick on the opening kick. Young found Ja’Corey Brooks, the fourth different receiver to catch a TD Saturday.

Alabama leads 28-10 in the 3rd quarter. The game is airing on ESPN.
