Bryce Young is essentially a lock to come off the board early in the 2023 NFL Draft with many projecting the Alabama star as the top quarterback available. His ultimate destination is still hard to project, but one NFL owner provided some insight into how his team views Young.
In a Tuesday press conference, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay admitted “the Alabama guy doesn’t look bad, I tell ya.” The comment came at the end of an explanation from Irsay that the team understands the current makeup of Indianapolis’ roster and the need to investigate QBs in the current draft class.
Looks like #Colts owner Jim Irsay let the cat out of the bag about the #Colts Draft plans.

As things currently stand, the Colts hold the No. 4 overall pick in the draft behind the Chicago Bears, Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals. The Bears and Cardinals appear likely to pass on QBs (for now) with Justin Fields and Kyler Murray, respectively, etched into starting roles.
Meanwhile, Houston is expected to target a QB with Davis Mills underwhelming at the position in 2022. We’ll see how the top 5 picks shape up in April and whether or not Young lands with the Colts or elsewhere.
