Bucks forward Bobby Portis throws out first pitch of Brewers-Nationals game

Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis won his first NBA championship in July as the Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 4 games to 2 in the NBA Finals. It was the first title for the Bucks in 50 years; back in 1971, a team led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar—then known by his birth name of Lew Alcindor—swept the Baltimore Bullets in 4 games.
The former Arkansas star and 2014-15 SEC Player of the Year, who joined the Bucks in November 2020 after stops with the Bulls, Wizards, and Knicks, will be sticking around Milwaukee for a few more years, too, signing a 2-year, $9 million contract weeks after the NBA season ended.
On Sunday, the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers took on the Washington Nationals in the final game of a 3-game series at American Family Field, and Portis was called upon to throw the game’s ceremonial first pitch. The Brewers posted a video of it to their Twitter account prior to the contest:
