Buddy Hield reportedly lands on NBA title contender in deadline-day trade
Buddy Hield is headed to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a report.
Hield was dealt to Philly in a deadline-day move on Thursday morning. In return, the Indiana Pacers will receive Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and 3 second-round picks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The former Oklahoma star will now have a chance to play for a postseason-bound team for the first time in his 8-year NBA career.

Hield has established himself as one of the NBA’s best shooters throughout his NBA career. He’s a career 40.1% shooter from long range and has the ability to impact the game off the bench.
He will now join a Philadelphia team that’s hoping to contend for the NBA title this season. Led by Joel Embiid, Philadelphia has been one of the NBA’s best teams in 2023-24 when healthy. Embiid is expected to miss some time with a knee injury, but the hope is that he can return in time for the postseason.
It’s possible Hield will make his 76ers debut as early as Friday night against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.
