On Sunday, Tennessee defensive lineman Jonathan Kongbo left Twitter abuzz with somewhat of a cryptic tweet — displaying this message:
All things must come to an end pic.twitter.com/Zd9YuNLNnD
— Jonathan Kongbo (@King_Kongbo) October 30, 2016
Immediately, the thoughts of a transfer came to mind for many of the Knoxville faithful. Despite coming from the JUCO ranks with immense hype, Kongbo hasn’t quite lived up to it — accruing only four tackles in eight games.
Head coach Butch Jones addressed his status on Monday during a press conference:
Jonathan Kongbo "hanging cleats" tweet was referring to loss in FIFA game, says #Vols coach Butch Jones says DL is reviewing film right now

This question persists: Which team did Kongbo use? When utilizing the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Barcelona, one virtually has a 99.9-percent success rate in FIFA. He may have simply opted for the wrong squad.
In Tennessee’s case, it’s got to be happy with Kongbo’s decision to hang up the proverbial futbol boots as opposed to the football cleats.
