Kentucky’s dream season remains alive thanks to the game-winning connection between Terry Wilson and his tight end C.J. Conrad. If you missed the play, it occurred as time expired in Columbia and gave the Wildcats a 15-14 win over Missouri.

The win improves Kentucky’s record to 7-1 on the season and 5-1 in the SEC. The Wildcats will now host Georgia in Lexington next week in a de facto SEC East title game.

Following the win, Conrad was interviewed down on the field by the SEC Network. Here’s what he had to say.

“I’m so proud of this team. We didn’t play very well and I’m proud of our team,” Conrad said. “To go on the road in an SEC game, with all these stakes, we came out and made plays at the end.”

Conrad was then asked about the final play of the game.

“Oh, I knew it was coming to me,” he revealed. “We had called that play and they called a timeout. We almost switched it, I said ‘No. I’m going to win this game. I’m going to win this game.’ I told Terry to put it on me and I made a play for the team.”

Finally, Conrad was asked to share his thoughts on Terry Wilson.

“I’m so proud of Terry and Lynn,” Conrad said. “Terry’s been getting scrutinized a bunch and that was an 80-yard drive, he didn’t flinch at all. He was amazing and I’m proud of him.”
