Caden Durham had a brilliant outing for LSU against South Carolina on Saturday. The true freshman finished the afternoon with 98 yards and 2 touchdowns on 11 carries.
Durham, the No. 6 running back in the class of 2024 and a former 4-star recruit from Duncanville (Tex.), saw limited action against Nicholls in his college debut during Week 3. Against the Gamecocks, he delivered, scoring with 8 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter from 26 yards out and adding a 9-yard TD in the 3rd.
“You’ve got to make people miss. You’ve got to break through tackles. He did a great job today,” Tigers head coach Brian Kelly said, according to The Advocate’s Wilson Alexander.
While there’s still plenty of time remaining in Durham’s college career, he made the most of his opportunity against the Gamecocks on Saturday. He’ll potentially get a chance to build on his Week 3 performance as the Tigers return to Death Valley for a Week 4 outing against UCLA.
