The recruit is favoring Florida State, Tennessee, Kentucky, and LSU. Alabama, Texas A&M, Colorado, and Ohio State are also in the mix based on the social media post.
Bates will be picking one of those teams on July 26.

While Florida State is considered as the favorite, there is still a chance for any of the SEC teams mentioned to land Bates.
Bates hails from Orlando, Florida originally and attends Edgewater High School.
LSU has two commits from corners Ondre Evans and Wallace Foster already. Tennessee’s only CB commit from the 2024 class is Kaleb Beasley. Terhyon Nichols is Kentucky’s sole CB commit so far.
Bates could be a nice addition to any of these team’s 2024 classes. Will Bates stay in Florida, or can he be coerced into heading to SEC country?
