If you missed the news from this Thursday afternoon, Auburn offensive lineman Calvin Ashley was rushed to the hospital following an injury during a recent practice. Gus Malzahn announced the news during his post-practice media availability and said the trip to the hospital was for precautionary reasons.
According to an Auburn team spokesman, Ashley has already been discharged from the hospital and had all feeling and movement in his body following the injury suffered during Thursday’s practice.

Ashley had feeling and movement in his extremities when he left the field with medical personnel. He underwent a series of tests, which came back negative, and was discharged from the hospital within two hours after arriving
The 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman was a five-star prospect and the No. 6 offensive tackle prospect in the nation coming out of high school in the 2017 recruiting class. He redshirted at Auburn his first season on campus and is competing for a starting role on the offensive line, at either tackle or guard, for the upcoming season.
