One month into the 2018 NFL season, it appears the Falcons are getting the most value out of their first-round selection as the NFL has named former Alabama standout Calvin Ridley the Offensive Rookie of the Month following the first few games of the season.
Ridley, the 26th overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, has already hauled in 15 catches for 264 yards and six touchdowns for the Falcons in the first four games of his NFL career. This comes after hauling in 224 catches for 2,781 yards and 19 touchdowns during his three-year college career in Tuscaloosa.
The NFL made the announcement on Thursday by posting the following graphic on the league’s official Twitter account:
Ridley has been one of the few bright spots for the Falcons this season, as the team is off to a 1-3 start to the 2018 season. If he continues his strong play, at least the Falcons will have the best receiving duo in the NFL as Julio Jones remains arguably the best player at the position in the league.
