Cam East: New Orleans OT, former Mississippi State commit, signs with SEC West rival
It’s Signing Day for college football’s early signing period, and Ole Miss is doing some damage.
In addition to flipping Falentha “Flip” Carswell from Miami on Wednesday, the Rebels also flipped Cam East from his previous pledge to in-state rival Mississippi State.
East made the announcement that he had signed with Ole Miss via Twitter.

East is a 6-7, 280-pound offensive tackle from St. Augustine High school in New Orleans.
He is rated by the 247Sports composite as a 3-star prospect and the No. 51 offensive tackle in the 2022 recruiting class.
In addition to Ole Miss and Mississippi State, East also held offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Florida State, TCU, and Colorado, among others.
Here’s a look at what the Rebels are getting as a player in East:
"Chris Wallace covers college football for Saturday Down South. He has covered college athletics for multiple newspapers and also worked previously for Rivals.com and GolfChannel.com."
