Cam Hayes, LSU guard, makes decision about 2023-24 season

Cam Hayes, an LSU junior guard who previously played at NC State, has decided on his plans for next season, according to Verbal Commits.

Hayes, who averaged 8.1 points on 40% shooting, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, has entered the transfer portal.

Hayes last season appeared in 31 games with 18 starts, the most in a season in his career. Hayes had 12 games in double figures, 31 over 3 seasons, and twice scored 25 points for the Tigers.

Hayes at NC State 2 years ago played in 32 games, and made 13 starts. Per game, he averaged 2.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 7 points on 33.5% shooting from the floor over 21 minutes. In 2020-21, he played in 23 games (14 starts), posting per-game averages of 7.8 points, 3.1 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 23.5 minutes.

Out of high school, Hayes was ranked as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals (No. 68 player nationally by 247Sports and No. 76 overall by Rivals).
