Who is the SEC’s Running Back U?
Earlier this year, Todd Gurley said Georgia deserves the title. AL.com’s rankings showed that among SEC schools it is Florida that has produced the most successful NFL running backs.
Cam Newton seems to think both have it wrong, and that Auburn is truly “RBU.” He made the declaration after his Carolina Panthers teammate Cameron Artis-Payne, also a former Tiger, broke off a long run in practice.
Cameron Artis-Payne rips a big run. Cam says "That's why he went to Auburn! That's running back U!" #Panthers @wcnc

Artis-Payne joined Auburn as a junior college transfer in 2013, serving as Tre Mason’s backup. In 2014, he took over RB1 duties and logged 303 carries for 1,608 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Panthers selected Artis-Payne in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Artis-Payne appeared in seven games, recording 45 carries for 183 yards and a touchdown.
Who’s right, SEC fans? Or do all three have it wrong?
