What will happen on Saturday in Tuscaloosa when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?
The unstoppable force is Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald’s rushing game. He’ll meet the immovable object that is No. 1 Alabama’s stout defense.
Fitzgerald, who has rushed for 100 or more yards five times this season, will go up against an Alabama defense that hasn’t allowed a quarterback to rush for 100 yards in more than four decades:
Nick Fitzgerald will try to become first QB to rush for 100 yards vs. Bama since Texas' Alan Lowry in 1973 Cotton Bowl per @ESPNStatsInfo

Fitzgerald ran for 182 yards and two scores in last week’s upset victory against Texas A&M.
If Mississippi State is going to pull off its second massive upset in as many weeks, Fitzgerald is going to need to snap the Crimson Tide’s streak and also find the end zone a couple of times.
