Jacob Eason is looking for a new NFL team after the former Georgia and Washington quarterback was released by the Carolina Panthers.

Eason was with the team last year and appeared in the Rams game. He was 3-of-5 for 59 yards and an interception. Eason was a 2020 4th-round pick by Indianapolis and also played in one game for the Colts in 2021. His departure leaves the Panthers with 3 quarterbacks: Bryce Young, Andy Dalton, and Matt Corral.

Eason was waived by the Colts in October 2021, and then the Seattle Seahawks claimed him. Eason spent all offseason with Seattle, but he failed to make the team in training camp and was waived.

At Washington, Eason started all 13 games in 2019, and finished the season with 3,132 passing yards, the fourth-highest total in UW single-season history. At Georgia as a true freshman in 2016, Eason played in all 13 games, and passed for 2,430 yards and 16 touchdowns with 8 interceptions. He led Georgia to an 8-5 overall record and a win over TCU in the Liberty Bowl.
