It wasn’t the most dominant win during the 2+ year run on top of the college world, but the Georgia Bulldogs got the 37-20 victory against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

It wasn’t all bad for Georgia, as the Bulldogs still put up 552 total yards of offense. Quarterback Carson Beck threw for 261 yards and 1 touchdown. However, he had both an interception as well as a fumble, and those are the mistakes that he and the Bulldogs are going to look to correct.

After the game, he gave credit to Vanderbilt for playing well, but also lamented on some self-inflicted mistakes.

“We turned over the ball twice, and obviously I take credit for that,” Beck said. “It’s my fault. We try to eliminate turnovers, and when you turn the ball over, you give them opportunities. They played very well, credit to them. They made some plays. Obviously, a little of that was self-inflicted, but we have to go watch film and see where we can improve.”

The Bulldogs have some time to improve, as they will be on a bye next week. They will be back in action in two weeks, when they host the Florida Gators, who are coming off a 41-39 win against South Carolina.
