The Georgia Bulldogs quickly trailed 7-0 to Florida early in the game on Saturday, but the team responded and absolutely dominated the Gators, 43-20.

It was the 3rd consecutive win by at least 20 points for Georgia, and quarterback Carson Beck was downright spectacular in the game. He completed 19-of-28 passes for 315 yards and 2 touchdowns. After the game, he spoke with CBS and talked about winning the game in his hometown.

“It’s obviously a very emotional moment,” Beck told CBS after the game. “When I was running out on the field before the game, I was just super excited, super happy man. Rush of emotions. To come out here and do this with the guys, turn up, feels really good.”

The Bulldogs are playing without their all-world tight end Brock Bowers, who recently had surgery and is out 4-to-6 weeks. Being able to get the win without Bowers proved what Beck has been saying about this team.

“I’ve been saying it every single week,” Beck told CBS. “I know there’s a lot of questions with him out, but I continue to say that we have players that can make plays, and it showed today.”

Georgia doesn’t have too long to celebrate, as the Missouri Tigers come to Athens in a game that will play a huge role in determining who wins the SEC East.
